2023 TEAM PROJECT
// USER FLOWS
// UI DESIGN
As part of the design team, I contributed to a strategic evolution from a telehealth-centric web app to a holistic application with enhanced user-centric methodologies and innovative self-screening functionality. The multi-phase strategy refined the feature set and strengthened the user-focused approach, yielding significant outcomes:
-
Major partnership with Recovery Healthcare Centers and corporate wellness programs
-
$8.2M seed funding raised
-
67% depression reduction to users utilizing Aiberry AI assessment.
Project Goals
02.
Significantly optimize and refine the daily workflows of practitioners, enabling them to perform their tasks with greater efficiency and ease.
03.
Elevate the precision and depth of patient evaluations through the strategic application of artificial intelligence, enhancing diagnostic capabilities.
PROCESS
The Flows
I was assigned the responsibility of enhancing the following flows for patients and practitioners: Onboarding, Self Screening, Telehealth, Screening Results, Patient Details (for practitioners). I collaborated with a UX designer to establish the primary objectives for each flow, along with the necessary details and specific information such as objectives based in users:
Objectives for patients:
-
Comfortable and Non-Intimidating Interface
-
Clear Guidance throughout the assessment process
-
Ensure the platform is accessible to users of varying technological literacy and different age groups.
Objectives for practitioners:
-
Prioritize a streamlined interface that allows for quick and efficient mental health screenings.
-
Design intuitive workflows and navigation considering potential variability in technological proficiency.
-
Provide clear, concise data presentation and interpretation
Following this, I conducted research on the previous app, explored competitor applications, and gathered visual insights. Ultimately, I developed a description of the intended functionality and appearance of flow and stared iterations for user testings. Although the flows were sucesfull, we did some changes like a step by step-check equipment flow pre-screening, microanimations for the avatar "Botberry" to make it more "human".
Onboarding
To guide users to experience the main features of the app as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Self Screening
An AI-powered patient self assessment that patients can initiate whenever they feel the need for support, similar to a daily check-in.
Telehealth
The patient's perspective for a virtual consultation with their practitioner. Telehealth Flow Improvement Aiberry initially focused on telehealth services but shifted its strategy to prioritize self-screening based on business objectives. The success of self-screening led us to reassess and enhance the telehealth experience. By incorporating AI into the process, we aimed to provide practitioners with a valuable tool to improve patient care.

Screening Results
An overview of the patient's personal screening results, which includes a transcript of the screening, AI-generated insights, and a score.

Telehealth for Practitioners
The practitioner's viewpoint on a virtual consultation with their patient, enhanced by better tools for taking notes and conducting the consultation efficiently. This is a valuable tool to improve patient care.

Patient Details
Patient information, including a quick glance of their progress, upcoming screenings, and assessment history. Also has the functionality to alert practitioners if a patient was at high risk / in need of intervention based on assessment scores and insights.
